Installing takes three steps

Download the installer
Click Download for Windows. Setup.exe saves to your Downloads folder.

Open it
Pulse installs for your user account. No admin password needed.

You’re done
Pulse starts counting from the system tray and keeps itself updated.
See “Windows protected your PC”? That’s SmartScreen. It’s expected the first time you run the GitHub Setup.exe, because that build isn’t code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway, or use the Microsoft Store build, which is signed and never shows the prompt. Every release also ships SHA256SUMS.txt so you can verify your download.
